Census 2026: Digital Self-Enumeration

For the first time in India's history, the census process is going completely digital. Now you can easily record your household and family details online.

What is self-enumeration?
This is a system where you can fill in your own information through a government portal before the census officials arrive.

How to do it?

1. Visit: Official website of Census India

2. Registration: Login via OTP using mobile number.

3. Information: Fill in the house condition, facilities, and member information.

4. Submit: Keep the 'Self Enumeration ID' (SE ID) you receive safely.

Important things

  • Security: The information will be kept strictly confidential as per the Census Act 1948.
  • Limit: Use one mobile number only for one household.
  • Accuracy: Filling in the information yourself helps avoid mistakes.
